My Philosophy:
Not all students learn the same way. As such, I ascertain what learning technique works best for each student, which ensures each student is able to achieve academic success. This in turn helps prepare each student for university and a successful career!

How I can Help:
With my background as a California licensed attorney and my degree in psychology, I teach students how to best analyze, problem-solve, write persuasive documents that are supported by the facts, and perform corresponding complex mathematical calculations in further support thereof.
I am pleased to offer one-to-one tutoring services to ensure students excel academically by helping with homework, studying for tests, and providing additional educational exercises as needed or requested.
As one of the first tutors to switch to online-only tutoring due to the pandemic, I have developed the most effective online teaching methods and can provide guidance to ensure a reliable internet connection for our sessions.

As a bonus, tutoring online allows me to help students become better acquainted with computers and the internet, (which are essential skills for college and the workplace). I am pleased to offer such computer learning experience, in addition to helping your child excel in math and language arts.
For all tutoring sessions, I use Google Meet video chat. However, if you have a strong preference for Zoom, FaceTime, or even via telephone, we can use your preferred method instead.
For Language Arts/English tutoring, I also use Google Documents.
For Math tutoring, I also use Google Jamboard (Whiteboard).
For Math, I also recommend getting your child a stylus (i.e. computer-pen or apple-pencil) if you do not already have one. Please ensure the stylus you purchase is compatible with your device. You can purchase a stylus at most computer supply stores or online for approximately $15 or less. The excellent 2-pack stylus set I have been using is compatible with most devices and can be purchased through Amazon at the following link:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E0LM6MO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
To access the Google Document or Google Jamboard, you will first need to provide me with your gmail address. If you do not have a gmail address (i.e. Google Account), you will need to create one. I will then gmail you the link(s).
Some student families choose to create a new gmail exclusively for tutoring such that their child and other family members can have the login/password information, (in case the parent who initially scheduled tutoring is unavailable on a particular day in the future).
Once you access the Google Document or Google Jamboard, anything you type/draw into it, I will be able to see in about 1-2 seconds thereafter. Likewise, anything I type/draw into it, you will be able to see.
For our online tutoring session, we would both open a window for the Google Meet video chat program on the left side of our computer screen, and open another window for the Google Document or Google Jamboard on the right side of our computer screen.

Tutoring Rates:
Tutoring rates are negotiable, (depending on subject, grade level, location of tutoring, and financial need). Please call or text to discuss.
Payment must be made via Zelle either before or during each tutoring session, (whichever you prefer). Zelle can be found in the menu of most major bank apps. Banks that already use Zelle are listed alphabetically at this link:

For more information about Zelle, please see this link:

In the unlikely event your bank does not already use Zelle, you can download the Zelle app and link it to a personal debit card, such as the following:

My Educational Background and Academic Achievements:
I am a Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UC Irvine, and completed advanced coursework in mathematics, language arts/humanities, creative writing, and Microsoft Word.
I am also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Whittier Law School, and passed the California State BAR Exam the first time.
